The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering companies such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency mentioned it is actually alarmed in regards to the significant range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated SRD Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The service stage developed for intervention encounters a higher inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it tough with the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to permit the servicing of all clients and increase use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
